I love a good smoothie and make one almost every single day. When I’m not that hungry or in a rush, I’ll have one for breakfast in the morning. And if I get hungry between meals or need some extra energy before an exercise session, I’ll have one as a snack.
I recently came back from a yoga detox retreat in Bali where we followed our daily morning yoga class with a green smoothie. I’ve always made mine more fruit-based, but after spending five days on the green variety, I was keen to incorporate more veggies into my smoothie recipes when I got back home. So when Blackmores invited me to try their new Blackmores Vitality Super Greens, the timing couldn’t of been more perfect.
Vitality Super Greens are a really easy way to pack extra nutrients into your favourite smoothies and juices, and you can even mix it with water. It’s enriched with zinc, vitamin C and fibre, and has 17 super foods like kale, spinach, broccoli and parsley – plus, it’s Australian Certified Organic. With so many greens, I was worried it might overpower my favourite smoothie flavour combinations, but it was the perfect level of greeniness.

To help launch this great new supplement, Blackmores are giving you the chance to win a $2,000 Vitality Super Greens pack including a years supply of it, a Vitamix and a $1,000 Lorna Jane voucher!

For a little bit of green smoothie inspiration, here’s my new favourite recipe. It tastes like a pina colada mocktail with a sprinkling of veggies. Enjoy!
2 teaspoons of Blackmores Vitality Super Greens
1/2 cup of mango
1 cup of pineapple
1 cup of coconut water
½ cup of coconut flesh
1 handful of fresh mint
Pop everything in a blender and BLEND!
*Hipster glass option 😉
