A sarong is a summer essential and probably the most versatile item in your beach bag, so we were stoked to be asked to style one for exclusive New York-based boutique L-atitude. As purveyers of designer and luxury fashion from around the globe, the online store is known for uncovering some of the coolest local labels around. We were selected to style a sarong from The Maasai Collections – a label founded in Africa that pays homage to the Maasai women and their indigenous artistry.
I love the tribal look, so I experimented with a few different styles like wrapping the sarong around my head, and using it to carry produce home from the farmers market. This particular sarong has beaded leather ties, so it’s perfect to wear cape-style for a more dramatic beach look.
