QUIT YOUR JOB

BUY A TICKET

GET A TAN

FALL IN LOVE

NEVER RETURN

I’m in love with everything Island Company stands for especially this tank featuring their famous mantra that was a collab with fellow beach blogger Goldfish Kiss.

Island Company is an island style resort wear brand founded by Spencer Antle, an award-winning television commercial director who 14 years ago made a bikini for his then-girlfriend and the rest is tropical history.

What I love about his brand and its mantra is how it inspires that sense of adventure, discovery and love of life that only travel can evoke. Never before have words rung so true. Here’s how Spencer describes the meaning behind the mantra…

QUIT YOUR JOB: It isn’t exactly about just quitting your job. It’s about getting unstuck.

BUY A TICKET: Buying a ticket means finding a destination where you think improvement can be made and pointing yourself in that direction.

GET A TAN: It’s not about the tan. It’s really about letting yourself go, to really learn to relax and become a ‘local’ in your new environment.

FALL IN LOVE: In love with where you are, who you are, and in love with the potential of your future. This love is what allows great things to happen again.

NEVER RETURN: Well it’s the best ending to being reborn. Don’t go back to the past; keep moving forward, life can be as great as we want to make it.

My bikini is also by Island Company. We shot this in the crystal clear waters off Savai’i Island in Samoa while staying at Le Lagoto Resort & Spa.
